The numbers, with a date on them
Flat Spain maintains one page per figure that decides a move to Spain — the visa income thresholds, the legal deposit cap, the monthly rent-increase index, the dates the laws changed. Each carries the value, what sets it, when it took effect and when we last checked it, because the reason these numbers are hard to find is not that nobody publishes them. It is that almost nobody updates them.
Spain re-sets most of these figures on a schedule — the minimum wage in January, the rent index every month, the laws whenever they change — and English-language pages carrying them mostly do not follow. That is how a visa threshold that moved in January 2026 is still published at last year’s value, and how a programme that closed in April 2025 is still described as open. Every page below says when it was last verified, and every change is logged on the page it happened to.
